The MOU Signing Ceremony between Silpakorn University and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Malaysia

On 13 September 2024, Silpakorn International Centre held the MOU signing ceremony between Silpakorn University and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) at Office of the President, Silpakorn University (Talingchan campus). The ceremony was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University, and Dr. Thanatorn Jiarakun, Dean of Faculty of Decorative Arts, who signed the MOU along with Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Rusmadiah Anwar, Dean (Academic & International) of College of Creative Arts, representing UiTM. A special lecture was also delivered to graduate and doctoral students in Design Arts at Silpakorn International Centre. Silpakorn University has initiated and established this MOU with UiTM since 2003, and this signing ceremony marks a three-year renewal of the MOU. The collaboration aims to promote mutual understanding in academic fields, culture, scientific concepts, art, and personnel exchange.

Silpakorn International Summer Course 2024

On 3 August 2024, Silpakorn International Centre in collaboration with Silpakorn University International College, led by Dr. Parinya Roonpho, Assistant to the President for International Affairs and Assistant Professor Dr. Sudawadee Chanpiwat, Deputy Dean for Planning and Development of Silpakorn University International College, organized the Silpakorn International Summer Course 2024. The objective is to create a good learning experience for international students as well as to promote Silpakorn University to be known internationally, in line with the university’s mission. There were 51 international students and 5 international lecturers from the United Kingdom, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Indonesia, and the Republic of India joining the field trip activities in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.

The MOU Signing Ceremony between Silpakorn University and Sichuan Fine Arts Institute

The MOU Signing Ceremony between Silpakorn University and Sichuan Fine Arts Institute officially took place on 14 June 2024 at the Office of the President (Talingchan campus), Silpakorn University. The ceremony was led by Prof. Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University; Dr. Thanatorn Jiarakun, Dean of Faculty of Decorative Arts; and Prof. Zeng Yue, a representative of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and was witnessed by Dr. Parinya Roonpho, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, lecturers of Faculty of Decorative Arts and 2 delegates from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. On this occasion, Prof. Zeng Yue and Dr. Li Xian from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute gave a special lecture on “Landscape Sculpture” at Silpakorn International Centre as the first activity under this MOU.

Welcoming Delegates from Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chennai and Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya (SCSVMV)

On 11 June 2024, Professor Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University, along with executives of Silpakorn University and dean and lecturers of Faculty of Archaeology, joined together in welcoming all delegates from Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chennai and Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya (SCSVMV) to have a discussion regarding the possible collaborations between Silpakorn University and Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya (SCSVMV).

The Meeting between Silpakorn University and the Federation of Thai – Chinese Education Association

Silpakorn University held a meeting on 28 February 2024 with representatives from the Federation of Thai – Chinese Education Association at the Office of the President, Taling Chan Campus. Professor Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University, along with executives and deans of Silpakorn University extended a warm welcome to 3 delegates. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss potential opportunities for collaboration.
