Silpakorn University Meets with Swinburne University of Technology to Explore International Academic Collaboration Opportunities
On Monday, 10 November 2025, Silpakorn University welcomed a delegation from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, at the Silpakorn International Centre, 2nd Floor, Office of the President, Silpakorn University. The meeting was led by Assoc. Prof. Arwin Intrungsi, Dean of the Faculty of Decorative Arts, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Veerawat Sirivesmas, Deputy Dean for Research and International Affairs, and faculty members from the Faculty of Decorative Arts. They were joined by Dr. Parinya Roonpho, Assistant to the President for International Affairs. The delegation from Swinburne University of Technology comprised Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gianni Renda and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jo Kuys. Representatives from both universities engaged in an in-depth discussion to strengthen institutional ties and explore areas of mutual academic interest. During the meeting, the two institutions discussed potential avenues for comprehensive academic collaboration, including the establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalize partnership, student exchange programs, joint curriculum development, and academic and institutional data sharing. These initiatives aim to foster joint learning and research opportunities between Silpakorn University and Swinburne University of Technology in the near future.

Silpakorn University Welcomes Delegation from Musashino Art University, Japan to Discuss Academic Collaboration and Student Exchange
On Wednesday, 22 October 2025, Silpakorn University welcomed a delegation from Musashino Art University, Japan, on the occasion of their visit to discuss potential academic collaboration at Room 510, 5th Floor, Office of the President, Taling Chan Campus. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University, together with Prof. Emeritus Yanawit Kunchaethong, Former Dean of the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Prof.Tinnakorn Kasornsuwan, Dean of the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukumala Nithipattaraahnan, Deputy Dean for International Relations, Special Projects and Research, and Dr. Parinya Roonpho, Assistant to the President for International Affairs. The Musashino Art University delegation was led by Prof. Sachikazu Kabayama, President of Musashino Art University, along with Prof. Toshiya Takahama, Deputy President (International Relations), Mr. Koki Okubo, Head of Administrative Staff – Center for International Relations, and Ms. Keiko Takahashi, Administrative Staff – Center for International Relations. During the meeting, both institutions discussed various possibilities for academic collaboration, particularly student exchange programs, which would provide students from both universities with opportunities to learn, share experiences, and co-create artistic and design projects reflecting the rich cultures of Thailand and Japan. Silpakorn University Welcomes the Ambassador and Counsellor from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Thailand to Discuss Academic Collaboration
On Wednesday, 22 October 2025, Silpakorn University warmly welcomed H.E. Mr. Faiyaz Murshid Kazi, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Thailand, and Ms. Nayeem Rubaiyet, Counsellor and Head of Chancery, at Room 510, 5th Floor, Office of the President, Taling Chan Campus. The delegation was cordially received by Prof. Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Vichaya Mukdamanee, Vice President for Art and Culture. The purpose of this visit was to exchange information and explore potential opportunities for academic collaboration between Silpakorn University and higher education institutions in Bangladesh, particularly in the fields of Architecture, Decorative Arts, and Pharmacy, which are among Silpakorn University’s distinguished and internationally recognized disciplines. This visit marks another significant step toward strengthening the relationship between Silpakorn University and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, laying a strong foundation for future academic and cultural cooperation.

Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between Silpakorn University and The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, USA
On Wednesday, 11 June 2025, Silpakorn University hosted a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony for academic cooperation with The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, USA. The event took place at the Narisaranuwattiwong Room, 4th Floor, Office of the President, Taling Chan Campus, with the aim of promoting collaboration in education, research, and student exchange programs. The signing ceremony was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University; Dr. Parinya Roonpho, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Wootichai Lertsatakit, Dean of the Faculty of Music; Mr. Chanutr Techatananan, Deputy Dean for Academic Services and International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Poumpak Charuprakorn, Assistant Dean for Research; and Dr. Nithi Junchomchaey, Assistant Dean for Academic Services. Representing The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay was Dr. Michael Alexander, Chancellor, who also took part in the signing. The Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University, has been advancing academic collaboration with The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay since 2020. The current signing marks a five-year extension of the existing MoU, reinforcing a strong and ongoing partnership. This collaboration spans multiple areas, including student exchange programs, academic knowledge sharing, and the dissemination of scholarly work. Silpakorn University Extends a Warm Welcome to Delegates from Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University, China, for Academic Collaboration Discussion
On Monday, 26 May 2025, Silpakorn University warmly welcomed a delegation from the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University, People’s Republic of China, at Meeting Room 410, 4th Floor, Office of the President, Wang Tha Phra Campus. The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Thatree Muangkaew, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs, Sanamchandra Palace; Dr. Pipu Boosabok, Assistant to the President for Planning and Policy Management; and representatives from the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Archaeology, and Faculty of Decorative Arts. The delegation from Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University, included Ms. Chen Jing, Chairperson of the Academy Council; Ms. Zhang Lili, Vice Dean; Ms. Liu Xuemei, Head of the Undergraduate Student Office; Mr. Shi Chong, Teacher from the Public Art Experiment Teaching Center; and Mr. Wu Pengxiao, Counselor for International Student Affairs. The purpose of the visit was to exchange information and promote Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University, as well as to discuss opportunities for academic collaboration between the two universities. Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding between Silpakorn University and Tezpur University, India
On Friday, 23 May 2025, Silpakorn University held a signing ceremony for Memorandum of Understanding with Tezpur University, India, at Narisaranuwattiwong Room, 4th Floor, Office of the President, Taling Chan Campus. The MoU aims to foster academic collaboration, research partnerships, and the exchange of students and academic staff. The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University, and Prof. Shambhu Nath Singh, Vice Chancellor of Tezpur University. The signing ceremony was witnessed by executives from both institutions, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Damrongphon Inchan, Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology; Dr. Naruphol Wangthongchaicharoen, Vice Dean for Education and Quality Assurance; Asst. Prof. Dr. Sombat Mangmeesuksiri, Managing Director of Sanskrit Studies Centre; and Ajarn Apasom Chaisangjan, Head of the Department of Eastern Languages. From Tezpur University, the witnesses included Prof. Raza Rafiqul Hoque, Dean of Academic Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Juri Gogoi Konwar, Head of the Department of Cultural Studies; and Mr. Muthu Ramachandran, Counsellor to the Embassy of India in Thailand. This MoU covers collaboration in various fields such as faculty and student exchanges for academic and research activities, sharing of academic resources, joint curriculum development, and more.
