On Monday, 26 May 2025, Silpakorn University warmly welcomed a delegation from the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University, People’s Republic of China, at Meeting Room 410, 4th Floor, Office of the President, Wang Tha Phra Campus. The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Thatree Muangkaew, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs, Sanamchandra Palace; Dr. Pipu Boosabok, Assistant to the President for Planning and Policy Management; and representatives from the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Archaeology, and Faculty of Decorative Arts.
The delegation from Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University, included Ms. Chen Jing, Chairperson of the Academy Council; Ms. Zhang Lili, Vice Dean; Ms. Liu Xuemei, Head of the Undergraduate Student Office; Mr. Shi Chong, Teacher from the Public Art Experiment Teaching Center; and Mr. Wu Pengxiao, Counselor for International Student Affairs.
The purpose of the visit was to exchange information and promote Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University, as well as to discuss opportunities for academic collaboration between the two universities. The discussion covered potential academic exchange programs for faculty, staff, and students, as well as the development of joint teaching and learning materials and initial steps toward drafting a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a foundation for long-term collaboration between the two institutions.
This meeting reflects Silpakorn University’s strong commitment to expanding its international collaboration network and enhancing art education to meet global standards.
